Ray never really had parents or a home; he lived in the streets since he was a small child. Later on he would join the Xitahoc for a source of money. The assassin job was a good fit for his developed street skills.

Ray is a very bad-tempered ruffian, wanted for numerous thefts and muggings. His short temper and vicious demeanor, and general lack of care for anything do help him in his job, but really doesn't help when it comes to getting along with his co-workers.

Charmy grew up with a relatively normal childhood. He met the other Chaotix when on a family vacation on Carnival Island, and quickly became good friends despite the age difference. He really enjoyed helping people, and thus became very involved in the Chaotix Detective Agency. A couple years later, when Charmy's parents died in a car crash, Espio was more than happy to take Charmy in and take care of him.

Charmy is still somewhat a child, so he acts like one; he's hyperactive and has a huge imagination, which often distracts him from his work. The other Chaotix members find him annoying sometimes, but Charmy's happy-go-lucky nature usually helps the team stay positive. He's also one of the only people in the world who thinks Shadow is cool.

When writing this, I discovered that in the Archie comics, Charmy is supposed to be a prince. AND HE'S ENGAGED. ffffff
This is why I dislike the comics.

Conspicuo was always somewhat of a bad seed; he enjoyed causing a ruckus and getting onto trouble. When he got older, he and three other no-good ruffians formed the Xitoahc, a ruthless assassin team ready and willing to dispose of anyone if the price is right.

Conspicuo is probably the least effective member of the Xitoahc; his tough guy act is an attempt to mask his incredibly childish and reckless nature, and as such he treats his job like a game; his many scars and injuries are a testament to his recklessness. He has a tendency to yell a lot and changes colours constantly, making some of his assassin missions incredibly difficult, and driving his colleagues absolutely nuts.

Espio is one of the top Problem Sleuths in the city. Solicitations for his services are numerous in quantity. Compensation, adequate.

All through his childhood, Espio had been trained by his grandfather in the art of various ancient fighting techniques, making him a skilled ninja. After completing twenty years of training, he departed to Carnival Island where he met Vector, Charmy and Mighty, and together they formed the Chaotix Detective Agency in Station Square.

Espio is a very calm and disciplined person, and takes his job very seriously; he gets annoyed when the other Chaotix members goof around instead of actually doing their jobs. He pretty much runs the Chaotix agency: although Vector claims to be the leader, Espio handles the finances and meets with most of the clients. He is somewhat of a pacifist, but won't hesitate to use his fighting skills when provoked. Being a chameleon, Espio is able to blend into his surroundings, rendering him almost invisible; he likes to use this ability to get away from the annoyances that plague him and spend some quiet time alone.
